SPECIAL COMPOSITION AND STATE OF POPULATIONS OF MEDICAL HERBS IN LUHANSK OBLAST

The phytocenosis research of Luhansk oblast in order to determine the species composition of medicinal plants and their habitat conditions has been conducted. 304 species have been identified. The following species grow in small-scale populations on meadows: Dracocephalum triflorum L., Stachys palustris L., Tussilago farfara L., Rhaponticum serratuloides (Georgi) Bobrov, Bidens tripartitа L.; on the forest lawns – Platanthera bifolia (L.) Rich., Veronica officinalis L., Symphytum officinale L., Vincetoxicum albovianum (Kusn.) Pobed., Hypericum perforatum L., Polygonatum officinale All., Hierochloe odorata Wahid; on banks of reservoirs – Acorus calamus L., Stratiotes aloides L., Gratiola officinalis L., Iris pseudacorus L.
The low number of some medical plants such as Veronica officinalis L., Iris pseudacorus L, Symphytum officinale, Tussilago farfara gives concern and needs preservation and control of reproduction.
