THE TIME BUDGET OF PLAINS ZEBRA IN THE ZOO "ASKANIA NOVA"

A behavior of the Zebra when keeping in captivity and under semi-free conditionis characterized in the paper on a base of own researches. The duration and frequency of the main types of activities: nourishment (grazing on site and in motion, eating of hay), transitions, rest (standing and lying) are determined. Peculiarities of watering are described.
